He is licensed to practice in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. He frequently associates with Louisiana and Texas attorneys as well as attorneys in other states when a clients case requires court appearances in other jurisdictions.
Mr. McGill is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
Mr. McGill was a U. S. Coast Guard line officer, commanding vessels patrolling the Florida Keys and the coast of Vietnam. He also served as a law specialist at the Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Following his release from the Coast Guard, Mr. McGill accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney for Palm Beach County, Florida, as a Felony Prosecutor.
After two years in the State Attorneys Office, he entered private practice. He joined a large firm in West Palm Beach and represented doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice cases and Ford Motor Company and General Motors in product liability cases.
For the past 20 years Mr. McGill has devoted his practice solely to representing injured victims in personal injury cases, with an emphasis on maritime claims.
Mr. McGill is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Trial Lawyers Associations for Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
Mr. McGill is a published author, having published professional articles in The Florida Bar Journal, The Journal of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, and the Journal of the Escambia County Bar Association. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor on the faculty of the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida, teaching forensic science.
